Located in Howard County, Maryland, Nteligen engineers solutions to the challenges of information movement. We perform active cyber risk prevention in everything we do. Nteligen likes to solve hard problems and is known to take on an array of different types of work, including software engineering, technical research, product assessment, security assessment, and cyber consulting. 

The responsibilities of the Engineer range from defining and designing risk model solutions to software development, documentation development, component test development, component test execution, system test derivation, system test, and other general software development tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing code as well as doing the research and design work needed to get to the development phase.  

The qualifications for the Senior Engineer include knowledge of engineering principles to include research and engineering assignments, experience in the generation of artifacts that support the full development lifecycle, a minimum of 7 years experience as a software development team member, and a degree in engineering or scientific discipline.  

Requirements:  

BS degree in engineering or scientific discipline (4 years of professional experience may be substituted for a BS degree) and7 years of professional experience. 

Qualifications: 

• 5 years of experience developing software for an Enterprise Linux based platform 
• Experience with complete software development life cycle (SDLC) in an agile environment 
• Experience programming in C, C++, and/or Java 
• Experience using source code management systems (Git, SVN, Mercurial) 
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including working with customers to determine their needs 
• Outstanding programming and debugging skills 
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) 
• Must be a US Citizen 
• Must have an active secret security clearance 

Preferred (but not required): 

• Experience in Cross Domain Solutions 
• Cloud development experience  
• Familiar with Ansible or similar tools 
• Experience with producing software design documentation 
• Familiar with NIST standards such as 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 
• Experience utilizing MITRE ATT&CK, CWE, and CAPEC 
• Experience performing as an ISSE
