Located in Howard County, Maryland, Nteligen engineers solutions to the challenges of data movement. We perform proactive cyber threat mitigation in everything we do. Nteligen is not afraid to solve hard problems and is known to take on an array of different types of work, including software engineering, technical research, product assessment, security assessment, and cyber consulting.
This position utilizes a wide array of skills requiring the engineer to understand a system's entire operational context and the associated cyber risks. The engineer will assist in defining, designing, and developing a risk model for data flow systems. In addition, this engineer will be involved in researching various established and emerging technologies and how to utilize them securely in data flow systems. The engineer must have a solid ability to communicate the team's ideas in written and verbal form. This position requires coding experience, but the day-to-day is systems engineering focused. Current tasking includes developing and writing risk-based testing guidance documents and modeling threats based on requirements. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in Linux system security and has excellent writing skills. The results of this effort will contribute immensely to DoD and IC data-sharing compliance policies and frameworks.
The qualifications for this Engineer position include responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing research and development programs and activities, a degree in engineering, scientific, or systems management discipline, a minimum of 7 years of experience of increasing responsibility in the field of Science & Engineering or Computer Science, and personal experience in project planning. This position has active funding and can support 7-14 years of experience.
B.S. degree in engineering or scientific discipline (5 years of professional experience may be substituted for a B.S. degree) and 7+ years of professional experience.
